CORDEIRO BREAKS MOUNTAIN WEST TOUCHDOWNS RESPONSIBLE FOR RECORD

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – With three touchdown passes against Utah State last Saturday, San José State’s Cheven Cordeiro is now the Mountain West all-time leader in touchdowns responsible for with 104.

Cordeiro, who is in his second season with the Spartans after playing his first four seasons at Hawai’i, has 79 career passing touchdowns and 25 career rushing touchdowns which makes his 104 total touchdowns a Mountain West record by passing Max Hall from BYU who had 101 total touchdowns.

Cordeiro has 11,156 total passing yards during his career and is fourth all-time on the Mountain West career passing yards list. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns this season and is tied for fifth on the all-time Mountain West Conference list with 79 career touchdown passes.
