SAN JOSE, Calif. – Chevan Cordeiro threw for three touchdowns while Quali Conley and Kairee Robinson each scored two touchdowns as San José State (3-5, 2-2 MW) knocked off Utah State (3-5, 1-3 MW) 42-21, beating the Aggies for the first time since October 11, 2008.

• Cordeiro started the game 6-for-6 throwing the ball and finished the game 15-for-20 for 119 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 53 yards.
• Cordeiro’s three touchdown passes puts him in a tie for fifth all time in Mountain West history with 79.
• Cordeiro’s third touchdown pass was 29 yards to Nick Nash, his team-high fifth touchdown reception of the season.
• Robinson scored his 12th touchdown of the season on a four-yard pass from Cordeiro in the first quarter.
• Robinson scored his second touchdown of the game and 13th on the season on a one-yard rush late in the fourth quarter. His 13 touchdowns are a career high, and he has scored in every game he has played in this season.
• Robinson set the record for consecutive games with a rushing touchdown in a season with seven, surpassing Tyler Ervin, who had six in 2015.
• Robinson eclipsed the 2,000-career rushing yard mark with his second carry of the game that went for nine yards.
• Robinson finished with 102 yards on the ground, while Conley finished with 74.
• This was the second time Conley has scored twice in one game, the last time being on September 9 in the win over Cal Poly.
• Charles Rogers recorded his first-career reception and first-career touchdown on the same play from 10 yards out to put the Spartans up 28-24 with 2:06 left in the third quarter.
• The Spartans forced two turnovers in the first quarter, the first being a fumble recovered by Kayden Collins, followed by an interception from Jordan Pollard.
• Pollard’s interception was his second of the season, which is a career high. He also led the way with 10 tackles.
• Jay’Vion Cole recorded his second interception of the season in the fourth quarter.
• This was the fourth game of the season (Cal Poly, Toledo, Boise State), where the Spartans had three takeaways.
• The Spartans rushed for 251 yards in the game. It’s their third game with at least 200 rushing yards and their second in a row.
• Tre Smith had a strong day on the defensive line, recording 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack.
• Taniela Latu and Soane Toia each had 1.5 tackles for loss.
